Research Operations Analyst
Research Operations Analysts manage the balance between ensuring white glove service is consistently delivered to our clients while maintaining efficiency and quality department-wide. The team begins its work by reviewing, approving, and assigning every expert request that comes in, resulting in each team member working on thousands of unique complex litigation cases every year. We manage a constant and high-volume workload and finish our work by reviewing and approving every expert shared with our clients until the client is satisfied and has retained an expert. Quality assurance of every detail, small or large, is critical to the team’s success, whether it’s reviewing our client advisor’s intakes, due diligence vetting of experts, or creation of deliverables. The team is expected to always engage in a solutions-oriented approach and collaborate and communicate with our colleagues across multiple teams and departments.
The hours for this job will be from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM CST.
Responsibilities:
- Quality assurance on new Expert Search requests completed by client advisors to ensure all client requirements and preferences will be satisfied and expectations are clear to Researchers.
- Assignment of new Expert Search requests to Researchers alongside consistent workload and capacity management across multiple specialty teams.
- Quality assurance of deliverables (prospective expert witness profiles) sourced by Researchers before delivery to attorney clients including but not limited to: satisfaction of client requirements and preferences, expert qualifications, credentials, and vetting.
- Analyze case findings and expert witness challenges in complex litigation and condense information into clear and concise summaries for colleagues and clients to digest easily.
- Decision-making and approval/rejection of deliverables to be sent to clients, including cross-team and cross-department communication on decisions.
- From the beginning of a new request to its completion, collaborate with five separate teams within the department as well as other departments to ensure successful completion of client requests and client satisfaction.
- Achieve quarterly KPIs (key performance indicators) with metrics based on volume and timeliness of work completed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required. Major in Political Science, Politics, Government, Public Administration, Law, Pre-Law, International Studies, or similar preferred, but not required.
- 1-3 years of work experience in a law firm or legal services firm in roles such as Paralegal, Legal Assistant, Operations, OR 1-3 years of work experience at an expert insights firm, OR 1-3 years of work experience in an operations and/or quality assurance role at an information services or recruiting firm.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and autonomous environment.
- Strong skills in teamwork, attention to detail, time management, organization, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving.
