We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Intern to join our team and support our innovative efforts.

Role Overview:

As a Legal Intern with WickardAI, you will gain valuable experience working closely with WickardAI's CEO, who is a practicing attorney. 

Your responsibilities will include researching case law, pulling cases from state and federal dockets, reviewing AI inputs and outputs, and analyzing industry legal trends related to AI and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Law Research: Conduct thorough research on case law to provide relevant information and insights for our platform.
  • Docket Management: Retrieve and review cases from state and federal dockets to ensure comprehensive data for analysis.
  • AI Quality Review: Examine and assess the quality of AI-generated outputs, ensuring accuracy and relevance in legal contexts.
  • Industry Research: Investigate and report on legal trends and developments in the AI and technology sectors to inform platform improvements and strategic decisions.

Requirements:

  • Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Law, Legal Studies, Criminal Justice or a related field.
  • Research Skills: Strong ability to conduct detailed legal research and analyze case law and legal documents.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in reviewing case data and AI outputs.
  • Analytical Abilities: Proficient in analyzing trends and synthesizing information from various sources.
  • Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills for documenting and presenting findings.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with team members and contribute to a positive and collaborative environment.

Additional Helpful (But Not Required) Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in legal research or internships related to law or legal technology.
  • Plans to go to law school.
  • Familiarity with AI technology and its applications in the legal field.
  • Understanding of legal tech trends and how they impact the legal industry.
