About Our ABA Clinic 

With over 30 years of pediatric therapy experience, LLA Therapy’s motto is: Helping Kids Shine Their Brightest! In order to accomplish our goal we pride ourselves on effective and streamlined communication, ongoing mentoring and support, collaboration between our core therapeutic disciplines (BCBAs, assistive tech, intervention specialists, speech, OT, and PT), and providing our professionals with the materials and tools they need to succeed. 

Position Details for the Registered Behavior Technician 

Provides 1:1 behavior intervention services as prescribed by the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the administrator, to assure that the highest degree of quality care can be maintained at all times.

  • Clinic hours: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday-Friday
  • Target client age range: 2-6 years old
  • Opportunity for guaranteed weekly hours
  • Paid lunch break
  • Start Date: Immediately

Essential Accountabilities for the Registered Behavior Technician 

  • Follow behavior intervention plan and reinforcement schedule as prescribed by the BCBA.
  • Teach communication, social, self-help and play skills through ABA principles.
  • Document the progress and effects of prescribed treatment with clients.
  • Develop individualized materials as directed by the BCBA and/or BCaBA.
  • Collaborate with family, BCBA, and/or BCaBA.
  • Maintain effective communications with all internal and external stakeholders including clients, families, co-workers and leadership.
  • Maintain positive and productive relationships with clients, families and colleagues.
  • Complete training as prescribed by the BCBA or BCaBA staff.
  • Support and ensure a safe and positive environment for clients and colleagues.

Requirements

  • Two years of college coursework completed in the area of psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development or related fields.
  • Pass the RBT competency and written exam after RBT training is complete.

  • Must hold and maintain current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician as issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
  • Must be proficient in English; reading, comprehending and understanding the English language.
  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • FBI and BCI background check (can be completed upon hire)
  • Positive and goal oriented, willing to accept the challenge of new assignments and be able to work well with others.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on teamwork, customer service, and safe working practices.
  • Must be able to handle stressful situations.
