Job Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Spanish Teacher to join our team. As a Foreign Language Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering language acquisition and cultural understanding among students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in foreign language instruction and a commitment to creating engaging and interactive learning experiences.

Duties:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and cultural appreciation.
  • Utilize innovative teaching methods to enhance language proficiency, including immersive activities, multimedia resources, and real-world applications.
  • Assess student progress through regular evaluations, feedback, and assessments to track individual growth and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. 
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student learning goals and promote a cohesive educational experience.
  • Stay current with educational trends, technology tools, and best practices in foreign language instruction to continuously improve teaching effectiveness.

 

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will have a strong interest in educating young people. Prior experience teaching similarly aged students is preferred, but not required. All candidates must either hold a current Ohio teaching license or have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and a willingness to obtain the required teaching certification. They must also be able to pass FBI and BCI background checks and complete the Diocese of Toledo VIRTUS program. 

Salary and Benefits:

This position is a full-time, salaried position with a 12-month contract including options for annual renewals. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Competitive benefits are offered to all full-time employees including tuition discounts for school-age dependents.
