Battery Graphite Scientist UNPAID Internship

About Us: CeyAnodes (Pvt) Ltd is a pioneering early-stage, pre-money, and pre-revenue startup based in Sri Lanka, dedicated to producing eco-friendly, high-performance battery-grade graphite and anode materials using Sri Lanka's unique vein graphite which is unprecedented in the world. We aim to revolutionize the lithium-ion battery industry with our advanced graphite anodes for lithium-ion batteries. We are already in discussion with EV giants such as Tesla and Rivian and have a verbal commitment for 2000 tons of battery-grade graphite for a US supplier. CeyAnodes currently has secured a tonnage of 30,000 tons of vein graphite per annum. By working with CeyAnodes you will have a in-depth analysis on how a startup in this industry work.

Position Overview: CeyAnodes is seeking a motivated and passionate Battery Scientist or Material Science Scientist(or equivalent) intern to join our R&D team. This is an unpaid internship offering a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of lithium-ion battery technology, focusing on graphite anode development. The intern will work independently and report directly to the Chairman of CeyAnodes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on lithium-ion battery graphite anodes.
  • Develop and document findings on the latest advancements and technologies in the field.
  • Create detailed research reports and present findings.
  • Work independently to explore new methods virtually and materials for improving graphite anodes.
  • Stay updated with global developments in lithium-ion battery technology.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ongoing college student or recent graduate in Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion for renewable energy and battery technology.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience in lithium-ion battery research (preferred but not required).
  • Knowledge of graphite anodes and their applications in battery technology.
  • Ability to create comprehensive research documents and reports.
