Technology and STEAM Teacher

Position Overview: The Technology and STEAM Teacher will provide direct technology instruction to students in Grades PK-8 based on the standards set forth by the Diocese of Cleveland. The Technology & STEAM Teacher is also responsible for overseeing and coordinating NWEA MAP and State testing in the school. 

 

 

Academic/Professional Requirements

 

  • Successful teaching experience of at least 1 year at the elementary level is preferred
  • Previous experience in a similar technology related position preferred
  • Three letters of recommendations pertaining to qualifications
  • Valid Ohio teaching license required;  Computer Technology Endorsement preferred
  • Virtus Training through the Diocese of Cleveland and a successful background check
  • Religion certification or a willingness to enroll in the certification process

 

Additional Responsibilities:

 

  • Testing Coordinator for State and NWEA MAP testing
  • Facilitate the integration of technology into grades PK – 8 
  • Work with our technology company and their staff to manage and update devices, create support tickets, etc.
  • Assist teachers in technology planning activities, STREAM and lesson plan development and execution
  • Assist in maintaining  iPads, Chromebooks, Google apps, and internet filters
  • Train teachers in new equipment software
  • Troubleshoot technology issues in real time for teachers and staff member
  • Support the administration of online assessments, including support of physical set-up, required documentation, and data reporting
  • Support the use of technology for special events
  • Additional special projects or duties as assigned
  • Supervise Lunch and Recess as assigned
