Human Resources Intern-Fall 2024

BASIC FUNCTION:
The HR Intern will be an active part of our team, and will gain exposure to a variety of human resources 
practices on an everyday basis. This is a Part-time (approx. 20 – 32 hours per week; 40 hours in the summer)
paid internship. The hours for this position are flexible within our normal operating hours of M-F 7:30am -
4:30pm.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• New hire orientation & onboarding process preparation
• Employee Newsletter planning, editing, layout, publishing & distribution
• Assists employees with questions and greets visitors 
• Supports and participates in various HR-related events and projects
• Responsible for Attendance Tracking 
• Process employment verifications 
• Administers Visitor Badge process and badge access control
• Schedules and tracks business-unit required trainings, communications, lunch and learns etc.
• Assists with Employee Service Award Recognition Program 
• Completes HR filing and document retention
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
• Must currently be enrolled in an Associates or Bachelors level program related to Human Resources 
• 3.0 GPA or higher desired. 
• Comfortable in a fast paced environment and handling multiple priorities at once
• Must be able to handle sensitive/ confidential information in a professional manner
• Ability to address situations with good judgment and integrity
• Excellent task management, prioritization, and organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build strong business relationships
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Products (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
• Available 20 - 40 hours per week
