Border Clerk

Work model: On-Site

Location: Laredo, TX

Shift: Second shift

Schedule: Full time; Wednesday - Friday, 3 p.m. - 11 p.m. and Saturday - Sunday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Job overview: 

Schneider is seeking a Border Clerk in Laredo to coordinate, dispatch and monitor shipments to meet customer daily requirements. You will provide coordination of shipments through broker site to provide best velocity (first in first out, expedite hot shipments) for inbound and outbound cross-border shipments. 
 

Responsibilities:

  • Create, monitor, update and complete shipments in execution systems
  • Accurately and efficiently prepare required export and import information for daily cross-border freight transport; understands and follows regulations to ensure compliance of export/import.
  • Prepare export and import documentation including declarations, permits or other related documentation for daily cross-border transport of freight as required.
  • Update customs websites as required.

Skills and qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma/GED or a minimum of 1 year related work experience.
  • Bilingual skills preferred - English/Spanish.
