Job Overview

As the primary contact for your assigned suppliers, you will be responsible for executing the day-to-day buying activities and onboarding new products in coordination with Sourcing, Inventory Planning, Regional Purchasing Managers, and Customer Service.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process purchase orders to replenish stock in a timely and accurate manner to ensure a high fill rate for our customers.
  • Monitor, communicate, and follow up as necessary on late orders from your suppliers. Timely communication to sales and customer service for any back orders or late deliveries affecting our customers.
  • Investigate and resolve invoice and receiving issues in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with suppliers and Quality Department to resolve quality issues quickly. Process return to vendor claims as necessary.
  • Arrange freight for both domestic and global product shipments.
  • Ensure accuracy of item information including costs, lead times, and reorder points.
  • Develop and implement cost savings projects.
  • Assist in annual warehouse inventory counts.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree Business Administration, Supply Chain, or other related course of study.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a supply chain role within in a distribution environment.
  • Experience onboarding new products is a plus.
  • Work well with a diverse group of people at all levels of organizations including Customer Service and Suppliers.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and different workflow processes.
  • Travel domestically occasionally to visit suppliers, provide support to warehouses, and participate in inventory counts.
