Human Resource Intern

Reporting directly to the Supervisor, Human Resources (HR), provides technical and administrative support to ensure the Summit County Children Services (SCCS) HR Department runs smoothly and in a consistent fashion.  The HR Intern will directly assist the Human Resources staff with a wide range of projects related to HR compliance, recruiting, onboarding/orientation, employee benefits, and other agency programs.

 

This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position, the intern will learn how to take skills acquired in school related to his/her particular areas of interest, and apply them in a professional setting. Incumbent will gain a better understanding of the role that HR can play in a social services setting, and be better prepared to work in the arena of human resources and the nonprofit sector. The incumbent will also have opportunities to network with the programs, finance, and development staff.
