Forecasting Analyst

Forecast Analyst I

As an Analyst, you will be responsible for the forecast accuracy of models supporting a portfolio of clients and jointly responsible with members of the Forecasting Operations Team for the overall satisfaction of those clients. He or she will participate in various activities, including processing and managing data, building new and maintaining existing models, becoming a subject matter expert on relevant aspects of the energy industry, and developing strong working relationships with clients inside that portfolio.

What you will do

  • Collect and clean data from internal and external sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of market trends, energy consumption patterns, and competitor activities.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate key insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to identify process improvement and innovation opportunities.
  • Assist in developing predictive models and forecasting tools to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in the energy markets.
  • Present findings and recommendations to management and other stakeholders clearly and concisely.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be located in the Richmond, Virginia area. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, data science, economics, statistics, or a related major.
  • Minimum of 3.0 GPA

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Knowledge of econometric theories and statistical principles

  • Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using Python, R, SQL, or Excel tools.

Compensation and Benefits

 Base Compensation Range: $55,000 - $65,000

In accordance with Colorado law, the range provided is Yes Energy’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower based on non-discriminatory factors such as location, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
