Business Development Representative

Summary/Objective

As the Business Development Representative, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and securing new business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and contributing to the overall growth and success of the company. Your primary focus will be on expanding our presence in the HOA and Property Management communities, identifying potential clients, and developing strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Participate and be part of HOA, individual contractors, subcontractors, developers, engineers, architects, law firms and insurance company regional organizations and attend Expos as Karins Engineering Representative.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities with HOAs, individual contractors, subcontractors, developers, engineers, architects, law firms and insurance companies through cold calls, emails, and office visits.
  • Present our company to potential clients.
  • Develops and expands network of community contacts to maximize business development opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential projects and clients through proactive prospecting and networking.
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services with the Branch Manager or Regional Manager.
  • Generate Letter of Agreement based on clients’ needs and provide follow up to ensure clients’ needs are met.
  • Ensure solutions to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients.
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and the Branch Manager or Regional Manager.
  • Stay up-to-date with new services and new pricing.
  • Travel to destinations to best facilitate business growth.
  • Utilize senior staff for training and guidance.

Requirements and skills

  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, or similar role but not necessary. Will train.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations.
  • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or relevant field experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal capability
  • Ability to prioritize different projects and stay on schedule. 
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • A familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willingness to travel throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, and West Palm Beach Counties.
  • The ideal candidate will need to be a self-motivated person, eager to always learn and improve.
  • Ability to handle rejection and overcome obstacles with tact and professionalism.
