Postion title: Communications

Position description: Leading all areas of communications for our ministry so that we communicate clear information on what is happening in the life of our church as well inspire people towards our mission and vision.

  • familiar with (or ability to learn) MailChimp (or something comparable)
  • proficient and passionate about social media (strategy, creative posts, interaction, etc.) 
  • proficient with websites (Wordpress, analytics, etc.) or desire/ability to learn
  • have a college equivalent bachelor’s degree
  • baptized as a believer by immersion (or will within a year)
  • live in Stow or a bordering community within a year

Responsibilities:

  • manage all RC social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube)
  • ensure that all RC events and news is being promoted and shared on social media accounts
  • utilize weekly and monthly post and reels on RC social media accounts for both information and inspiration 
  • find and attempt new creative ways to leverage social media in our ministry
  • capture fun and important staff moments to share on social media
  • leverage social media to highlight examples of our mission and vision
  • leverage social media (as appropriate) to highlight our racial reconciliation, addiction, and foster care ministries
  • manage all paid ads on Facebook and Instagram
  • be proactive in discovering, testing, and deciding what new social media accounts RC uses or doesn’t use
  • recruit, train, and empower volunteers to help with social media as needed
  • oversee communication requests process for staff
  • manage RC website
  • manage church email communication
  • update weekly pre-service slides for Sunday mornings
  • quality control for online worship on Sunday mornings
  • manage Got Print and all printed materials
  • manage road side advertisement (monument sign)
  • manage the photography team (recruit volunteers, schedule for events, post pictures)
  • manage all church apps (Church Center, Journey)
  • potentially assist in other media related areas
  • be prompt, prepared and participatory for all ministry appointments and staff meetings
  • humbly and cheerfully execute any additional duties as assigned

Relationships:

  • reports directly to the worship arts director
