Night Shift Camp Counselor

Position Summary:

This role involves monitoring cabin activities, providing personal care assistance, and ensuring camper safety between 10 pm and 8 am. Key responsibilities include staying awake throughout the night, conducting regular rounds, and fostering relationships with campers.

Qualifications:

Candidates must be at least 18 years old, possess experience in working with individuals with disabilities, and hold current CPR and First Aid certifications. Availability for weekend shifts in fall, winter, and spring, as well as a 7-week commitment during the summer, is required.

Successful candidates should demonstrate strong interpersonal and decision-making skills, effective communication, and essential qualities such as being a self-starter, dependable, adaptable, motivated, and patient.

Specific Duties:

Responsibilities include staying alert, making regular rounds, assisting with personal care activities, providing camper supervision, and documenting interactions.

Essential Functions:

Candidates should be capable of working long hours, proficiency in camper care, behavior support, and effective communication. The ability to make decisions ensuring the care, welfare, and safety of all individuals involved is crucial, along with identifying and responding to environmental and safety hazards and adhering to all Recreation Unlimited rules and policies.

Weekend pay starts at $230 with free room and board from Friday at 4:00 till Sunday 11:30 AM!

Weeklong pay starts at $500 with free room and board from Monday at 8:00 AM to Friday between 12 PM and 5 PM! Weekends OFF!!
