Employment Status: Full Time, Classified. Part Time will be considered.
Pay Grade: Salary Range: $145,600 - $220,188. Based on qualifications & experience.
Health Center Hours of Operation: Mon., Wed., Thurs. 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Tuesday 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM.

The Medina County Health Department, a nationally accredited health department, has an opening for a full time Staff Clinical Dentist who will participate in public health programs, including the provision of primary and preventative dental care in a community healthcare setting. This is a great opportunity for new grads, mid-career professionals, or late career professionals!
Essential Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Examine individuals requesting care, diagnoses their dental/oral conditions, prescribes, and carries out or directs others in carrying out of appropriate dental/oral treatment on teeth, bone and soft tissues of the oral cavity per approved clinical procedures and protocol.
- Records patient-dentist transactions efficiently and accurately in the electronic health record.
- Promotes oral health and disease prevention.
- Interprets x-rays and diagnostic tests.
- Monitors growth and development of the teeth and jaws.
- Assists with oversight of the dental clinic.
- Work as part of a team to provide care and programs for the community.
Minimum Education, Training and/or Experience Needs:
Graduate of an accredited School of Dentistry required. Completion of a two-year general practice residency or two years of clinical experience preferred. Unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of Ohio and current DEA registration.
