Bilingual HR Intern

Bilingual (Spanish & English) Human Resources Intern

What You’ll Do:
The HR Intern will be an integral member of the Human Resources team for the Summer of 2024. The HR intern will focus on two key projects: supporting the recruitment process of non-desk workers and working within Workday, the HRIS system to establish and maintain processes for data integrity. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Files documents into appropriate employee personnel files
  • Maintenance of employee voicemails, redirecting HR related calls and distributing correspondence to the appropriate person of the team
  • Assist in the execution of the Human Resources strategic plan in support of the overall business unit and corporate strategic direction.
  • Support Spanish speakers during the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing and interviewing candidates.
  • Support with Spanish speakers during orientations, onboarding, and records.
  • Work closely with general management to understand business issues and opportunities and assist them in developing and implementing HR initiatives to address those opportunities.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of employee personnel files to include rerouting of HRIS systems for accuracy of data.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Candidate must possess the following:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Ability to meet deadlines, juggle multiple tasks and take initiative.
  • Internal drive to complete projects.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Study in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook
