Real Estate Investment Intern (Summer 2024)

GCI is seeking a Real Estate Investment Intern with a passion for real estate, finance, investments, and creative problem-solving. This position will work out of the corporate office in Beachwood and actively contribute to meaningful projects while working closely with a mentor and the investment team.

•      Assist with collecting and analyzing market research from Costar and other sources to help evaluate new multifamily development opportunities.

•     Help create Excel-based financial models to drive investment decisions. Financial models may include investment pro formas, construction financing packages, refinancing analyses, internal asset valuations, and hold/sell decisions.

•     Collaborate with the Investment and Development teams on formal investment recommendation memorandums, which are presented to management.

•     Assist with ad-hoc requests, which may include investment reporting, financial analysis, PowerPoint presentations, and industry research.

•     Gain valuable knowledge of the multifamily investment and development business, including financial analysis, equity and debt financing, development, construction, and asset management.

·        Business, Finance, or other similar majors are encouraged to apply

·        Experience with excel to create financial analyses

·        Experience in the real estate industry a plus
