Procurement Buyer Internship (Summer 2024)

We are looking for a Procurement Buyer Intern who will report to the New Product Development Buyer Team, and who’ll be tasked with Supporting the New Product Development Team . As part of your role, you’ll be purchasing parts to support production and development team

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

Prepare commodity strategies & manage RFI and RFQ Processes

Analyze all vendor proposals and make supplier pre-selection for new parts

Negotiate best overall cost (price, packaging, freight, quality, etc.) and long-term agreements with all key suppliers 

Search and identify potential processes and sources of procurement and come up with up strategies 

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Required:

Currently Enrolled in a Bachelors of Business Administration ( Supply Chain or related field) 

Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets experience 

Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision

Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence others in the organization 

 Preferred:

Junior or Senior year in College

Previous internship experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field

Knowledge of ISO9000, PPAP and Six Sigma methodology

Experience with negotiating
