Marketing and Social Media Intern

Opportunity: Marketing and Social Media Intern

 

Digital Mind State is currently seeking several part time interns. The purpose of this position is to provide a forum for learning and implementing many of the essential skills and tools required in the fields of wireless, social, and digital. The intern will be involved in some or all the following activities:

 

Responsibilities

• Assist the Marketing Manager and work hands-on to create assets and complete deliverables for social, email, and e-commerce, including but not limited to: 

Assisting in creating video and stagnant content for Instagram and TikTok

Researching and contributing trends for social content

Creating SEO for PDPs and blog content

Contributing ideas to the marketing calendar for email, social, and in-store initiatives

Assisting with e-commerce order fulfillment when needed

 

- Update Tech With Soul page on Facebook at least four times/week (adding pictures, linking to articles of interest, sending out updates to fans, etc.)

-  Maintain Twitter feed at least three times daily (verify that RSS is updating properly)

-  Stay abreast of current and future social networking technology

-  Develop promotional ideas to get new subscribers

 

 

Qualifications:

 

Our ideal candidate is a full-time junior or senior attending college, or a post-graduate. While preference is given to applicants with public relations, communications, journalism or related experience, all applicants will be considered.

 

Ideal applicants possess:

• Strong research, organizational, and writing/editing skills; high level of creativity.

• A proven understanding of public relations, online and traditional media outlets, AP Style and digital/social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and Tumblr.

• Talent, drive and the ability to work independently and in team settings within a deadline-driven environment.

• Prior internship experience in public relations, communications, journalism, digital media or related fields also a plus.

Summer internships require two days per week in the office with additional remote time; fall and spring internships are more flexible due to class schedules, but we would prefer that interns can come in some hours on Tuesdays or Wednesdays when we are in our office.
