Senior Financial Analyst

Marcus & Millichap Seattle’s top retail/net lease team located in Seattle seeks a talented Senior Financial Analyst with Commercial Real Estate experience, that possesses the following:  Ability to work effectively with all personalities, positive, professional, can-do attitude to assist a highly successful and driven team. Courteous and approachable, able to keep cool in high pressure situations, accept responsibility for and take pride in work output/product while achieving deadlines.

We are looking for people who share our passion for analyzing economic and commercial real estate investment data, then synthesizing it into cashflow models for proposals, offering memorandums, presentations and information that our clients can use to make informed investment decisions.


Responsibilities:


-Underwrite income property utilizing customary methods and tools to accurately determine NOI, valuation and debt.
-Interpret data from a variety of sources to assess market's economic environment and to evaluate commercial real estate opportunities and trends.
-Develop analysis and reports to effectively portray market trends and investment opportunities.
-Track, verify and learn market comparables for use in analysis of income properties.
-Compile and personally verify data from across the northwest United States to proactively track ownership, availability, and sale of commercial properties.
-Maintain an accurate and complete database of commercial real estate inventory, conducting multiple weekly interviews to brokers, developers, investors, and other real estate professionals to obtain real-time property and transaction data.
-Dissect trends and collaborate with senior partners to verify data .
 

Qualifications:


-At minimum FIVE years underwriting and valuing commercial real estate.
-Familiar with rent rolls, income statements and balance sheets and can effectively enter into DCF models in excel or Argus.
-Ability to translate data and information into clear, professional reports and analyses.
-Ability to work under deadlines and complete projects on time with accuracy.
-Previous experience in training and leadership roles preferred but not required.
-Strong research and written communication skills.
-Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel.
-Must be organized and detail oriented.
-Passion for real estate and getting it “right”.
-Hard working, dependable, and highly ethical.
-Salesforce and CRE Industry applications such as CoStar are considered a “plus”.
-Ability to commute daily to our Downtown Seattle office – this position has the potential to be hybrid/in-office and remote, but some in-office work will be required. We do not accommodate any relocation expenses.
