Director of Youth Ministry (Part-time)

Mayfield United Methodist Church (MUMC) is seeking a part-time Youth Director of Youth Ministry to empower youth and their families to grow and deepen their walk in Christian discipleship. This position reports to the Pastor of Discipleship and has tremendous spiritual impact on youth in Mayfield, Chesterland, and surrounding communities.

In this role, you will be able to:

• Lead and oversee age-level ministries (grades 6-12, and college-age)
• Provide discipleship for weekly youth Bible study and other fellowship/service activities
• Encourage youth attendance and participation in MUMC activities
• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for youth
• Recruit and train volunteers for youth ministry
• Assist in planning and implementation of Camp Aldersgate week (full week in June)
• Actively participate in weekly worship

• Demonstrate flexibility, composure and discernment in all situations
• Have solid attention to detail and organizational skills
• Possess tech skills and the ability to quickly learn new applications when needed
• Have the ability to be mobile and active with youth

This is a part-time hourly position, working 15-20 hours per week, on Sundays and 1-2 evenings per week.
