Part Time Summer Human Resources Intern

Stratos Wealth Partners in Beachwood, Ohio is looking for an enthusiastic, responsible Human Resources Intern to perform various administrative tasks and support our HR department, reporting directly to the Director of HR. This will be up to a 24 hour a week position with some flexibility during the Summer. Part time hours when school resumes might be available based on interest and suitability. Because Stratos has a small HR department, you will be involved in all aspects of HR. 

Stratos' Summer internship programs includes not only the experience you will get in that department, but it also encompasses meeting with each of Stratos' executives and other people in leadership and learning about Stratos and our industry as a whole. We have outings and a fun end of the year party.  

 

We are looking for applicants that are majoring in an HR related field only. 

Responsibilities

  • Support recruiting functions such as posting, updating and removing job postings from Paylocity, screening resumes and performing initial phone screenings.
  • Assist with the onboarding of new staff employees.
  • Update our internal database with new employee information.
  • Review and distribute company policies and assign trainings in Paylocity.
  • Participate in organizing company events and career fairs.
  • Researching a wide variety of HR topics.
  • Perform clerical duties, take memos, maintain files, and organize documents; photocopy, fax, etc. as needed.
  • Assist the Director of HR with projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Current college student majoring in an HR related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
  • Organizational skills
  • Self-directed and able to work without supervision, able to work in a fast-paced work atmosphere.
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
  • Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines, and have a friendly, positive personality. Previous office experience a plus.
  • Ability to work comfortably with all levels within the organization from entry-level to senior management and operate at the highest level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
