Job Description: 

City of Lima, Ohio, is searching for a full-time Assistant City Prosecutor for the Lima Municipal Court. No outside practice of law permitted 

Compensation: 

• Salary range of $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year, depending on experience 
• Excellent benefits 

Work Hours: 

• Full-Time 
• Monday-Friday 
• 8 AM – 5 PM  

Typical prosecution duties include:  

• Negotiating cases and plea agreements  
• Conducting bench and jury trials  
• Preparing and presenting motions, pleadings, and arguments in court and for appeals 
• Interviewing witnesses, Police Officers, victims, and others 

Position Requirements:  

• Criminal Trial experience preferred but not necessary  
• Will consider newly admitted attorneys
• Functional knowledge of Lexis and Microsoft Office programs required
• Valid license to practice law in the state of Ohio
