MBA Product Management Intern

This position is part of Novanta’s ATI Industrial Automation business unit. ATI is the world’s leading developer of robotic end of arm technologies. This full time, on-site summer internship role in the Apex, NC area will be within the Product Management and Marketing team working on strategic projects designed to expand and grow the ATI business.  The selected candidate will work with cross functional teams and have visibility across both the business leadership, as well as the company leadership teams. 

 

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Support and drive high-impact projects focused on a variety of business outcomes and representing several functional disciplines. 
  • Interact and partner with senior leaders at Novanta to define project outcomes, workstreams, activities, timelines, team, and other foundational elements of project and transformation management.
  • Lead the development of approaches, frameworks, and best practices to accelerate and drive project impact. 
  • Develop effective working relationships with associates across levels at Novanta.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses to drive insights. 
  • Build executive-level presentations that are concise, crisp, visual, and impactful.  


Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies

  • Enrollment in a top-tier MBA program with 3+ years’ work experience in a corporate setting. An undergraduate degree in engineering, helpful.
  • Outstanding analytical (qualitative and quantitative) 
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to integrate large amounts of ambiguous information into executive-level insights that drive action.
  • Comfort working deep in the details, but also at a high level shifting between the two near continuously.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Due to ITAR compliance, this position requires candidates to be a US citizen or green card holder 
  • Must have dependable transportation.
