Litigation Support Associate (Analyst)

We are a division of HBK CPAs and Consultants, a top 50 accounting firm with offices in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Florida. Position Summary:

 

As a Litigation Support Associate, you’ll assist our team on projects by providing financial analysis, researching industry trends, determining value, and writing expert reports. 

 

The ideal candidate will have an accounting or finance degree and a working knowledge of financial statements and tax returns. You’ll be great for this role if you are detail oriented and are comfortable with analyzing data and supporting your positions in writing. You also should enjoy working both independently and in a group environment.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Map financial data from financial statements, tax returns, bank statements, and other financial documents into valuation and other excel models
  • Conduct Industry, Public Company, Acquisition Multiples research
  • Financial statement analysis
  • Provide support in analysis, modeling, and other quantitative techniques, as needed
  • Review depositions in legal proceedings
  • Catalog documents for complex legal cases and prepare trial binders, as needed
  • Attend client meetings and take complete and accurate notes
  • Support manager with determination of business value and other relevant financial computations
  • Assist with writing reports to document opinions

 

Qualifications

 

  • Undergraduate degree in business, preferably in accounting or finance
  • MBA or other advanced degree will be considered
  • Excellent computer skills including a strong proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Two years of experience in accounting or finance, preferred but not required
  • The willingness and ability to obtain business valuation credentials upon receipt of formal training provided by HBKVG
