High School Teacher (2024-2025) #1 Charter School in Ohio

Menlo Park Academy is seeking a High School (7-12) certified teacher to teach our advanced middle school students. Science, ELA, History, Social Studies, or Math certification is applicable. Menlo is Ohio's only public community school dedicated to the education of gifted learners, grades K to 8. Our middle school (6-8th grade) students are typically at least 1 grade level ahead in content, and we're looking for high school certified teachers excited to implement engaging and intellectually challenging lessons for our advanced learners.

We are seeking teachers who have the mindset and skills to teach collaboratively in a flexible space learning environment. High Quality PD promotes collaboration and informed knowledge about the implementation of our program and can be used for licensure advancement or renewal. To be a successful teacher at Menlo, you will embrace the following concepts that are core to our mission:

  • Focus on the whole child, with positive behavior supports encouraging learning from mistakes and comprehensive social/emotional learning strategies.
  • Teaching in flexible mixed-grade ability groupings.
  • Implementing extension experiences such as field trips, assemblies, contests, competitions and clubs are used to enhance the curriculum.
