Associate Channel Manager

What we’re looking for…  

The Associate Channel Manager manages the go-to-market strategies and execution for their specific channels of business.  This role will use knowledge of the brand, buying process, products, pricing and Customers/Channels to develop and execute channel strategies that grow brand equity and sales.  The incumbent of this role should be familiar with selling strategies, understanding customer objectives, merchandising, promotions and category management.

 

Expectations & Accountabilities …  

  • Develop marketing strategies by specific channel that support our strategic initiatives.
  • Responsible for the development, design and marketing that meet the needs of the specific channel customers and Oatey requirements
  • Develop marketing plans by customer to support the sales managers goals and objectives
  • Establish and maintain on – going relationships with key customer accounts and work directly with their marketing counterparts to implement marketing plans that meet the customers and Oatey’s needs.
  • Develop and execute quarterly and annual channel marketing and demand generation strategy and tactics in collaboration with other stakeholders from Sales, Product Management and Marketing to drive above market growth.
  • Manage and support creation of marketing collateral including catalogs, price guides, sell sheets, brochures and more.
  • Support new product launch efforts and drive commercialization process including marketing collateral, communication strategy, training tools and related activities.
  • Work closely with customers to better align marketing strategies and tactics including merchandising, email campaigns and promotions.
  • Create and analyze sales reports and market feedback from internal and external sources to identify key issues, trends, opportunities and market share growth/decline for use in marketing and sales planning purposes.
  • Monitor program and campaign efforts and conduct pre and post-program analysis to drive improvement.
  • Track competitive channel marketing programs, market and channel trends and adjust channel strategies accordingly.
  • Analyze and report progress against campaign goals and report on ROI.
  • Able to travel domestically up to 30%.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

What you’ll need to be successful… 

  • 1-3 years combined in a channel, brand management, product/category management and/or sales role.
  • Proven ability to create innovative and strategic programs/campaigns and execute.
  • Ability to demonstrate consistent ability to meet objectives on time and within budget.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and organizational skills; detail-oriented, highly motivated and self-starter.
  • Proven capacity to excel in a fast-paced, multifaceted, team environment.
  • Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment and interact with individuals at all levels in the organization.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required or relevant equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
