Business Analyst Internship

Position Responsibilities

  • Assist with reconciliation of bank statements, preparation of Profit and Loss statements and balance sheets for clients
  • Assist in preparation of Benefit Program Operations Reports 
  • Assist in preparation of Annual Operations Reports
  • Assist in preparation of quarterly client meetings reports
  • Assist members with retirement benefits and related information
  • Assist in audits of pension calculations
  • Maintains confidentiality during and post-employment

Skills Required

  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and particularly Word and Excel
  • Aptitude for and thorough understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Ability to learn proficient use of accounting software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to keep a professional demeanor
  • Ability to organize and prioritize job responsibilities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently or in small groups, and to assist with training
  • Critical thinking and reasoning ability

Physical Requirements

The majority of this position will be completed in a stationary position; however, the person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside an office setting. Regularly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. The person in this position must be able to regularly communicate accurate information. 

 

Travel and Work Hours Requirements 

This position rarely requires travel. Usual work hours are in-office Monday – Friday, 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
