Intern, Agriculture Professional Services (AG)

What You Will Do (Responsibilities)

In this internship, you will work with the Topcon Professional Services team on assigned projects that meet the needs of the business unit. The interns will help develop, train, and support the most advanced technology in the agriculture industry. The technology you will be working with includes feed and dairy management software, boom height control for spraying applications, and GNSS and steering for farming operations.  As an intern you will work with these different products and software solutions daily, experiencing how a company like Topcon operates from start to finish of a product cycle. These assignments will be provided to you at the beginning of the internship and will expose you to the different technologies that Topcon offers.

 

The Professional Services (AG) Intern daily activities will include:

  • Complete assigned projects given at the beginning of the internship.
  • Work in team environment or as individuals to complete tasks and assignments.
  • Work with Topcon Professional Services and Support members to learn Topcon Products and software solutions and execute project tasks.
  • Create a final project and presentation to provide to executive staff at the end of the internship.

 

What You Need (Requirements)

The ideal candidate for this position will bring a combination of the following skills and qualifications:

  • College sophomore or above in an agriculture program.
  • Prior knowledge of the agriculture industry is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Willingness to collaborate with others.
  • Ability to climb up and down equipment like tractors.
  • Occasionally lift objects 15-20lbs.
  • Most time will be spent in an office setting with occasional trips to the field.
