Administrator - Indigent Defendants
The Oswego County Assigned Counsel Program has an immediate opening for an Administrator – Indigent Defendants to administer a bar association rotational plan for indigent defendants charged with a crime or assigned in Family Court, as required by Article 18-b of the County Law. The incumbent coordinates a service plan to provide legal representation for individuals who are financially unable to afford legal counsel and performs related work as required.
Qualifications: Graduation from an American Bar Association accredited Law School and seven (7) years of experience as a practicing attorney with experience in Family Court, local criminal/County Court and the Appellate Division.
Starting Salary: $93,817. Salary negotiable to be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Oswego County offers a competitive benefit package including: health insurance, life insurance, and NYS retirement. Candidates may be eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program.
