OCE Student Trainee (Economics) (Virtual - Washington, DC) 2024 Summer

USDA Agricultural Research Service is currently recruiting for an Student Trainee (Economics) at Visiting USDA Headquarters Complex | USDA in Washington, DC for Summer 2024.  Assists higher-grade economists to design, develop, write-up, and publish a wide variety of economic and policy-relevant topics for informational and external publication. Performs duties related to the preparation for statistical surveys, the tabulation and processing of data, the routing and posting from secondary sources, the preparation of simple charts, tables, or graphs. Duties require a general knowledge of the basic concepts and principles of economics and are illustrated by performance of any combination of the following: Collect economic or other information for incorporation into detailed economic research projects; Perform research for a complex economic study as related to commodity or food markets, or on U.S. agriculture related to environmental or production issues; Analyze and interpret economic statistics.
