Summer Camp Group Leader for the Deaf

Time Frame: June 24-July 26

M-F: 9:30-3:30, excluding 7/4 and 7/5

Job Description:

• Lead and supervise children in assigned group (10-20 campers) including campers who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
• Provide complete access throughout the camp day by signing all spoken word to your campers (when not in a whole camp setting).
• Model active and enthusiastic participation during all camp activities
• Create and maintain a safe and positive environment for each camper
• Collaborate with assigned counselors to plan and implement weekly, creative and non-repetitive schedules
• Implement a Behavior Management program with assistance from Administration
• Assisting in preparation for daily activities
• Supervising your assigned group on field trips
