Production Department Manager

Construction Production Dept Manager

The position will report to the VP of Production. Their overall job will be to manage communication between the Production Department, its customers, crews and suppliers. In addition, be the one point of contact throughout the entire project and any repairs for the customer. In addition to managing their own projects.

Responsibilities:

Manage a team of Project Managers

Lead team meetings

Report department activities to executive leadership

Manage email traffic, calendar activities, and voicemail messages

Answer Production Department phone calls and emails

Create material and labor orders

Ordering materials, scheduling deliveries, scheduling returns

Scheduling crews

Make outbound phone calls to speak with customers to schedule, remind and follow up on material delivery and roof installations.

Add, cancel, or make changes to the schedule as needed

Resolve scheduling conflicts as they occur

Email reminders to customers when appropriate

Answer calls regarding repairs and customer warranties.

Schedule repair with the customer and crew, follow up after completion with customer

Qualifications:

A strong history of leadership

Experience in a high paced construction project management environment while working under pressure

The ability to step into the position ready to hit the ground running

Computer competency for data entry and the production of reports and schedules

Excellent communication skills in customer service and experience working as a company team leader

Ability to fulfill the company's standards and values when performing all tasks

Display kindness and be open to providing scheduling accommodations to customers or staff

Have an eye for detail and organization

Ability to muti-task and work under pressure

Ability to solve problems quickly

Schedule project timelines to predict the finish date for larger projects

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: DOQ

  • Monday to Friday
  • On call every 4th weekend

Preferred Experience:

  • Production Scheduling: 4 years (Roofing Company Preferred)
  • Knowledge of the construction field (specifically roofing)
  • Past construction leadership experience
