Marketing Intern

Position/Title:                             Marketing Intern
Exempt/Non-Exempt:           Non-Exempt
Reports to:                                  Director of Marketing 
 

GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION: 
The Marketing Intern position will learn and assist in multiple disciplines of marketing communications in a fast-paced business-to-business setting and manage high-impact projects independently. 

 

CORE & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Support marketing team with execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Support marketing department on special projects as needed.
  • Assist with grammar and spelling editing.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:
Possession of a high school diploma is required. Must have the ability to think creatively and willingness to learn other computer programs. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite is required. Must be able to work both independently and within a team environment. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and ability to create on a short deadline. Ability to adhere to timelines and turnaround work within tight schedules. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. use of protective gear). Ability to communicate orally in a clear, concise and effective manner with the customers, account representatives, company representatives, management, staff, and the public in face-to-face, one-on-one and group settings. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to communicate in writing in a clear, concise and effective manner.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to use a telephone for communication. Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance at the facility. Ability to accurately distinguish color variation. Use office equipment such as a personal computer, copier and facsimile machines. Sit, stand, or walk for extended time periods. Hearing and vision required to be within normal ranges. Read at, above, and below shoulder height. Occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch. Sufficient manual dexterity required to operate equipment. Tolerate inclement weather, including heat and cold. Normal range of tolerance to household and other types of typical industrial/ construction chemicals and solvents.
