Victim Advocate Internship

The Internship Program will provide the training in Victim Advocate through a self-paced 40-hour Victim Assistance Training Program. Be a Nationally Credentialed Advocate. Gain hands-on experience in in assisting Victims of Crime on and off but surrounding the Navajo Nation

Looking to hire 2-Master and 4-Bachelor level positions.

Internship Eligibility: 

Currently enrolled in a high education institution attaining your bachelor's or master's degree in Social Work, Criminology, Sociology, Human Services Field and Psychology. 

Must be a higher institution on or surrounding the Navajo Nation such as New Mexico Highlands University, Dine College, Arizona State University, Fort Lewis College, San Juan College, Navajo Technical University, etc. &/or in Arizona, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico, however we would need to establish a memorandum of understanding with your institution before becoming an intern.  

One year program- earn a stipend for 2 semesters (Fall or Spring, excludes summer), due to funding reasons, we cannot accept summer interns. 

Must pass a Criminal Background Check for state/local/federal/tribal.
