Position Summary:

The Legal department intern's primary responsibilities include assisting with the management of legal, contractual, regulatory and compliance matters, monitoring related projects, researching and reviewing government funding opportunities, populating a contracts database, and file control and maintenance.  This is a hybrid role that will work out of our Quincy, MA headquarters three times a week and from home two days a week.  

 

Responsibilities:

Assist legal team members with routine and special project regulatory and compliance projects, particularly related to FCC broadband deployment initiatives and FCC Public Inspection Files.

Assist legal team members with reviewing and analyzing various contract negotiations and drafting, generating contract templates and completing contract risk evaluations.

Support government grant and funding team with research and data processing for grant funding proposals to fund broadband network expansions, along with participating in municipal relationship building activities.

Assisting with populating and maintaining a company-wide digital contacts database by collecting, organizing and abstracting contracts, entering relevant information, generating reports and managing digital files.

Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

BS/BA or University Program certificate

Enrollment in a JD program at an accredited law school

Attention to detail; some familiarity with reading legal statutes and contracts; task oriented; law school student on summer break is ideal.
