Children's Services Caseworker

You will help keep children safe from abuse and neglect. You will help children heal from trauma, stay in school and find stability. You will help families stay together. You will help support parents through sobriety and mental health. You will work with the courts, schools, and community providers to help strengthen, preserve and empower families.

Job responsibilities: Conducts timely assessments of child safety in response to reports of abuse and neglect, utilizing comprehensive investigation methods and adhering to federal, state, and agency policies. Engages in face-to-face interviews with children, caregivers, and alleged maltreaters to determine safety risks and protective capacities, conducting assessments in various settings. Implements safety plans and coordinates necessary services to ensure child well-being, while maintaining thorough documentation and adherence to legal procedures. Participates in court proceedings, training sessions, and organizational improvement initiatives to enhance practice and promote cultural competency in child welfare interventions.
