Project Engineer
· Learn to oversee, direct and organize all major aspects of heavy highway construction activities including leadership of project personnel, coordination of equipment and materials and management of subcontractors
· Collaborate with on-site construction superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, owners and owner’s representatives
· Train to master all facets of project estimating including, analyzing plans and take-off, developing labor, equipment and material costs, soliciting subcontractor and supplier bids and preparing bid packages
· Reviewing project plans and specifications and developing value engineering initiatives
· Direct the preparation of project submittals, requests for information and changes to the contract
· Facilitate schedule creation, maintenance and compliance
· Develop, promote and maintain key business relationships with public and private entities
