Entry Laboratory Analyst - Mold Testing

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Environmental Analyst. As an Analyst, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing environmental samples in accordance with scientific methodologies, adhering to company Quality Assurance programs and SOPs. Your role will require a strong understanding of both routine and complex analyses, along with the ability to validate and review data for accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze environmental samples using established scientific methods.
• Enter and report analytical data accurately using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Independently review data generated by other analysts for quality assurance.
• Perform analysis of reference materials, proficiency samples, and other quality control samples as required.
• Provide technical support and maintain client service standards.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and data collection of Quality Assurance processes.
• Conduct confirmation of lab results as needed by client services personnel.
• Manage projects according to their priority and deadline for timely delivery.
• Participate in Lean initiatives and projects as assigned.
• Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and coordinate reordering as necessary.
• Train new analysts as needed in specific analytical testing areas.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for errors or issues.
• Ensure proper maintenance and servicing of laboratory equipment.
• Communicate available capacity to senior management on a routine basis.
• Collaborate with other departments within the lab when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
• Strong understanding of scientific methodologies and laboratory techniques.
• Familiarity with Quality Assurance programs and procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
