Fridley Menards Manager Trainee

As a Manager Trainee, you will work closely with the Department Management and Store Management teams to learn as much as you can about Menards. Throughout your Manager Training, you will train in six areas of the store to learn each department’s functions and how each department impacts the store’s success. After an orientation period, you will be assigned to help run a department which will allow you to gain more experience and confidence as a manager.
The Manager Trainee Program will allow you to understand all the areas of the store and to develop professional relationships with your fellow Team Members. You will experience firsthand how our team atmosphere has been a direct influence on the success of our company. In addition, rotating through different departments will expose you to the different products that we sell and the variety of management styles that are in our stores. Working alongside already successful managers will give you insight on how they motivate their team, organize their departments, and train their Team Members for success. Through training, you will develop your own unique management style that you will bring to the Menards team.
The Manager Trainee Program consists of four Quads that are described below. Each Quad has objectives to achieve before you will be evaluated and move on to the next Quad. The program’s structure allows you to move at your own pace, but the learning objectives motivate you to move forward quickly and complete the training within the allotted time. In the first three Quads you will learn the elements of the operations of the store as well as the skills necessary to succeed as a Menards Team Member and manager. At the end of each Quad, you will receive a formal evaluation that will highlight your strengths, and areas of opportunity, which will allow you to gain feedback and
