Digital Marketing Internship -- Remote Position

Fantasy Escape Games is an online team building and games company looking to hire an innovative Digital Marketing Intern, with the opportunity for advancement, who will assist implementing marketing initiatives and play a role in planning the marketing for our current virtual games, future team training events, and the brand as a whole. Fantasy Escape Games opened August 2020 and maintains a fun, collaborative environment.

The Digital Marketing Intern will assist on several initiatives. Based on the Digital Marketing Intern’s interests and strengths, they will be assigned specific tasks in alignment with their long-term career goals. An important part of the intern’s responsibilities will assist in copy for marketing materials, including web and landing pages, email, or ad copy. Google ads management will be an important part of this role. Other marketing initiatives on which the intern may assist include paid ads management, sales funnels, email campaigns, rebranding efforts, web marketing, social media, give-aways, network marketing, SEO management, and more. 

The Digital Marketing Intern will work with both a small team and independently to market our online, live-streamed events, such as murder mysteries and escape room experiences, as we re-envision our web and digital presence. The Digital Marketing intern will have the opportunity both to participate in strategic discussions, pitching ideas, as well as implement those strategies. 

This role is ideal for you if you are excited about a variety of aspects of modern marketing, diving into both organic and paid marketing initiatives that will grow the brand. You’re looking to both participate in higher level discussions and actively implement ideas, seeing first-hand the impact of your work. You like using data to follow what works and enjoy tweaking on the fly to get the best results. Ideally, you are excited about the idea of putting your skills into practice with a larger amount of input and responsibility, and are excited to try new techniques. You’re excited to continue learning and growing within the entertainment industry or B2B space. 

Internship, club, volunteer, or classroom experience in marketing digital professional services, B2B marketing, theatre, games, and/or events is a plus but not required. 

The Digital Marketing Intern will be completely remote, and may have flexible hours. A paid stipend or school credit will be provided. The Digital Marketing Intern may have a flexible start date between May-June and a flexible end date between August-September, with possible extension into the winter semester, to be discussed before onboarding.

Responsibilities:

• Be prompt to meetings and maintain a quality internet connection in an environment without other background noise 

• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills

• Provide and assist with written marketing copy materials

• Provide and assist with implementation of sales funnels

• Assist in ads management and analysis 

• Participate in strategic discussions

• Assist in implementation of new and ongoing digital marketing initiatives 

• Collaborate with a small team or contractors on digital projects

• Ability to work effectively while remote, both independently and in small teams

• Other duties as assigned
