Commercial Insurance Account Manager

The Commercial Insurance Account Manager position at O’Neill Insurance provides professional, high-quality service to existing clients, while also assisting Producers in writing new accounts. The role will analyze insurance programs for clients and prospects and make recommendations to the Producer.  The Account Manager will build relationships with clients and work with Assistants to provide excellent service, using their knowledge and experience to ensure their assets are properly protected.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and insurance carriers
  • Maintain day-to-day servicing of a specific book of business, including taking phone calls, meetings, and emails from clients, carriers, claims adjustors, etc.
  • Understand insurance coverage forms and continue to grow in learning the differences between each carrier
  • Inform clients about changes in their insurance program, and make recommendations for needed coverage
  • Conduct coverage analysis for commercial prospects and clients, and gain a clear understanding of the scope of their business
  • Consistently increase knowledge through research and trends in products, staying up-to-date on current topics in the insurance and risk management marketplace

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience managing commercial accounts or with an insurance carrier
  • Strong team mentality
  • Ability to grasp new concepts/automation quickly   
  • Excellent and professional written and verbal communication skills 
  • Commercial underwriting knowledge
  • Active Property and Casualty license for the State of Ohio, or ability to obtain within 60 days
