Position Description:

Solvay’s Corporate Bristol Analytical group group is focused on supporting all of North America's analytical challenges and is also tasked with the development and application of new and novel approaches to analysis. The group has recently acquired some new equipment and techniques that we need to evaluate on a certain number of key Solvay technologies (alkxoylates, polymers, etc.). This student will be working under the supervision of senior scientists to characterize different products and compare the information available from the various techniques available in Bristol NMR, Mass Spec. MALDI ….). Work will primarily be lab based and involve sample preparation as well data collection and interpretations alongside experienced analysts.

Recommended Qualifications:

Basic knowledge in chemistry, chemical engineering, and/or life sciences is required as well as good communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a project team.
