The Times-News of Twin Falls, a Lee Enterprises Inc., publication, is seeking applicants for a FT10-week news internship over the summer. The start date is flexible, and this position pays $15.00/HR.
Twin Falls is located in Southern Idaho's Magic Valley, a beautiful part of the nation. The population is about 56,000 and many outdoor opportunities are available such as hiking, cycling, watersports, BASE jumping from the Perrine Bridge, the eighth highest bridge in the US and which spans a canyon about 500 feet above the Snake River.
The successful candidate will get hands-on reporting experience covering a variety of beats. Past interns have covered breaking news, written features and researched in-depth enterprise stories.
Qualified candidates should be inquisitive self-starters who are capable of producing compelling content for our digital and print platforms. Interns should feel empowered to find and pitch great stories about our increasingly diverse communities. We want multitaskers who can juggle multiple assignments and embrace all facets of multimedia storytelling. Applicants who are enrolled in a bachelor’s program in journalism or a recent graduate of a program will be preferred. A valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, reliable transportation and the flexibility to work some night and weekends are required.
