Spring/Summer Sports Management/Sports Marketing Internship with i9 Sports

Experience is one of the most important things a student can have on their resume when trying to break into the field of sports management. We are offering students the opportunity to work with the top i9 Sports franchise in the country, along with some of the most respected names in the local sports and recreation industry. i9 Sports interns will be an integral part of our success, and we are excited about the opportunity to offer students experience and education in the sports industry. Internship hours are flexible, and each task will be an opportunity to gain valuable, hands-on, practical work experience that will give students a competitive edge when pursuing future endeavors.

Working and interning for one of the top franchises in i9 Sports, provides a unique and one-of-a-kind opportunity to learn from an Area Developer who has found the right formula to success and knows what it takes to be a success in the sports industry. Plus, you get a behind the scenes look of what all goes into running successful youth sports programs and a profitable youth sports company. In addition to gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience in the sports industry, we can help you establish connections, develop relationships and make connections with the local sports and recreation industries we work with to see other sports opportunities out there in our area.

This is an unpaid internship for college credit hours and/or hours needed in your major/field of study. Work hours are flexible and can be worked around another job or school schedule. The internship tasks will be completed from your home, at our i9 Sports office in Powell and/or at various program/venue sites. However, there may be times when you need to attend marketing events, deliver equipment/paperwork, help paint sports fields or work with our partnering organizations.

In order to get the full experience of what we do at i9 Sports and to see our sports leagues in action, we require our interns to work at least one day on the weekends. On the weekends, you would work as a PAID Sports Coordinator where you help with league set-up, assist our volunteer coaches during practices, officiate & monitor game-play, provide on field coaching to our kids (ages 3-14) and you will work to ensure all of our families have the best experience possible. You need to be great with kids, know the game, be coachable and friendly. Experience working with kids in a school, camp or league environment is a big plus. You need to be 100% reliable. You must be able to pass a criminal background check and must have reliable transportation.
