Marketing and Communications Coordinator

Calling all recent Marketing graduates who are looking for a role to learn and grow in! Our client, American Heritage, is looking for a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join their team.

This is an onsite (Grand Blanc, MI) direct-hire role that has some remote flexibility. 

 

The Marketing Communications Coordinator will be responsible for:

- Assisting with the creation and execution of the marketing and communications plans 

- Maintaining budget and coordinating expenses

- Coordinating materials for meetings, events, sales materials, and other projects as needed.

- Helping to coordinate and plan all company events

- Creating new and engaging social media and blog posts.

- Developing and activating a social media marketing plan including monthly scheduling, last minute updates, and monitoring of all social listening

- Managing all social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and Google+.

- Maintaining and utilizing CRM system including monthly newsletters, special emails about new products, and other e-communications

- Maintaining the yearly marketing calendar

- Assisting with general marketing and communication activities

- Working with outside vendors to execute projects

 

The marketing communications specialist must have:

- 1+ years of professional experience in marketing or communications

- Ability to write content and copywriting experience

- Good copy editing abilities

- Ability to take complex topics and make them simple and digestible via marketing materials

- Experience with WordPress

- Understanding of social media

- Experience with CRM systems and email systems

- Good digital marketing understanding and skillset

- Excellent organizational skills and can manage projects independently 

- Event planning experience (preferred)

- Experience in insurance field is a big plus but not required
