Resident Supervisor and Caseworker Internship (Unpaid)
INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION (RS and Caseworker)
TITLE: Intern
SUPERVISED BY: Program Manager/Program Administrator, Program Coordinator/Lead Resident Supervisor, Shift Supervisor
SUMMARY: Assists with the routine functions of a Resident Supervisor and Caseworker (determined by skill level).
INTERNSHIP DUTIES:
- With direct supervision, assists with Resident Supervisor duties:
- Maintains accurate and timely whereabouts of all clients assigned to the facility.
- Effectively implements Agency and program policies and procedures.
- Accurately completes the following documentation during the shifts: whereabouts/counts, shift reports, and incident reports. Assists in maintaining individual client logs.
- Supervises daily and scheduled activities of clients.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- With direct supervision, will assist with Caseworker duties:
- Assists in the development, modification, and monitoring of individual client’s programming and acts as a liaison with their referral source.
- Assists with making the appropriate community referrals.
- Assists in the development of an assessment-based program/caseplan.
- Assists with monitoring clients’ compliance with program rules.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
