Natural Resource Internships with USFS and BLM

Interns will work alongside the US Forest Service or Bureau of Land Management in various locations across Colorado and southern Wyoming. Our participants will gain experience, make connections, and serve public lands. 

Start dates vary by position but are generally between April and June! Details can be found on our website.

Current USFS positions include: 

  • Recreation intern in Minturn, Eagle, Rifle, Aspen, and Dillon, CO
  • Veterans Wildland Fire/Fuels intern in Yampa and Walden, CO
  • Trails and Wilderness intern in Dillon, Minturn, Rifle, Aspen, and Meeker, CO

Current BLM positions include: 

  • Hydrology intern in Kremmling, CO
  • Recreation intern in Silt, CO
  • Realty intern in Meeker, CO
  • AIM Crew Members and Crew Leads in Silt, Kremmling, Meeker, and Craig, CO

NATURAL RESOURCE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM 16-30

Internships are designed to engage youth and young adults in valuable work experiences within natural resources management agencies and non-profits. Internships allow participants to consider or advance careers and education in natural resources. RMYC provides support to all internships while the intern works under the daily supervision of the hosting public lands management agency, or non-profit.
