2024 Human Resources Intern

Primary duties and responsibilities:

  • Serve as a learning management system administrator. Communicate training needs, assign and record training
  • Provide payroll reports as requested to leaders for overtime and accrual balances
  • Support hiring managers in preparation for new hires to contribute toward successful onboarding experiences
  • Maintain employee personnel files, human resources and safety records, and regulatory postings to ensure that they are complete, current and in compliance with DFA policy and applicable federal and state laws
  • Maintain an orderly and well-stocked mail room, office and kitchen; inventory, order and put away supplies
  • Assemble mass mailings, including envelope and address label printing, stuffing and posting. Give all mailings a final review for errors
  • Make food service arrangements for internal meetings/events held at the Medina office/laboratory. Assist the client department staff with set-up, service and clean-up as needed
  • Monitor performance of office services and supply vendors including providers of coffee, dairy products for office use, copier servicing and billing, cleaning, first aid, mailing equipment, trash, recycling and other various office vendors
  • Support the safety committee through facility checks, preparing meeting notes, and assisting with OSHA reporting

Educational Requirements: Junior or Senior in the fall of 2024, recent graduate or candidate pursuing graduate degree.

Desired Degree Focus:  Human Resources, Business Management or related field

 

Dates of Internship: Looking to start part-time in April for training (flexible) and move to full-time as soon as available – mid-September 2024 (can also scale down to part-time for school if needed)
