In this exciting, newly created Ecommerce Specialist role you will be responsible for assisting in executing D2C and B2B ecommerce activities required to meet/exceed the company’s financial and corporate goals and sales, branding, and customer engagement objectives. Working with the Ecommerce Manager and Marketing Team, you will utilize web analytics and data to help uncover deeper insights that define opportunities in content, search, traffic generation, page conversions, sales funnel improvements, user experience improvements, site performance optimization and lead generation. You will be involved in executing and optimizing ecommerce marketing campaigns across ecommerce websites, email, advertising, and social media, through collaboration with the Marketing Team. Key Responsibilities:

Ecommerce Strategy: Collaborate with the Ecommerce Manager and Marketing Team to help develop and execute e-commerce marketing strategies aligned with our sales, branding, financial, and customer engagement objectives. Includes current and new strategies and tactics to meet corporate goals.

SEO and Conversion Rate Optimization: Optimize website pages for organic search and conversions using SEO-optimized copy, link-building strategies, content marketing, insights from Google Search Console, and A/B Split Testing.

Content Creation: Generate persuasive content to enhance the online shopping experience. Craft compelling product descriptions, feature/benefit copy, and content rich/beneficial copy, to attract and retain customers. Create effective "Calls To Action" (CTA) for best user interaction, sales/conversion.

Performance Optimization: Consistently and continuously analyze and report on web analytics and data to uncover insights related to traffic generation, page conversions, sales funnel improvements, user experience enhancements & site performance. Develop and implement action plans to optimize online sales and profits.

UX Enhancement: Collaborate with the Ecommerce Manager and Web Designer to enhance user experience across all sites using insights from analytics programs.

Analytics and Reporting: Utilize web analytics to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), report on the effectiveness of e-commerce activities and campaigns, and communicate opportunities and trends.

Industry Trends: Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices, evaluate emerging technologies, and recommend site enhancements to drive sales and profits.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Marketing Team and other corporate teams, including IT, Operations, Sales, and Purchasing, to maximize sales, profits, and traffic of e-commerce websites.

Competitive Analysis: Stay informed and analyze the latest trends and competitive e-commerce animal health industry websites to continue improving and growing our e-commerce websites' successes.

Marketing/Ecommerce/Advertising: May include various and other marketing/online/advertising needs as deemed appropriate to meet corporate goals and objectives.


Experience: 3+ years working in Digital/E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, and/or Web Analytics; and with/on an Ecommerce or Marketing Team performing responsibilities for an ecommerce physical product based B2B or D2C business that sells products online. Experience with/in Social Media a plus.

Education: Degree in Ecommerce, Web, Marketing, Business, IT, Animal Health/Sciences; or Ecommerce/Internet Technical Degree/Certificate Preferred.

Analytics Proficiency: Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Google Search Console, Keyword Research, and Competitive Research Platforms.

Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Autonomy and Collaboration: Ability to work independently; as well as working collaboratively with management and with other departmental and company team members.

Data Analysis: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for report generation and analysis.

Marketing Knowledge: Deep understanding of ecommerce marketing, online product selling and optimization processes. Experience with/in Catalog/Print Marketing and/or Advertising a plus.

Organized, Adaptable, Positive: Must be organized, dependable, efficient, detail-oriented, adaptable and flexible to changing needs and opportunities; as well as being a positive, helpful person.

Content Skills: Proven written online ecommerce content experience and performance.

Animal and/or Agriculture Background: Animal Health Degree/Education, and/or hands-on work or experience living or working on a farm, or with livestock, horses, or pets; and/or experience/knowledge working in the agriculture/crop industry; is desired and very beneficial for this role.
